  Who Was Jesus?

Jesus of Nazareth is one of the greatest shapers of history in our world, and someone who has captivated the hearts of millions to this day. But what is so special about Jesus? Find out more below!

Life

Jesus’ life and ministry are recounted in the four Gospels of the New Testament. He was born a Jew in Bethlehem before the death of Herod the Great in 4 BC. He began his ministry about age 30, becoming a preacher, teacher, and healer. He gathered disciples in the region of Galilee and preached the imminent arrival of the kingdom of God. - Encyclopedia Britannica

Death

Throughout Jesus’ ministry, Jesus gained followers but also detractors. Each group believing different things about who Jesus was.

On Passover he entered Jerusalem on a donkey, where he shared the Last Supper with his disciples and was betrayed to the Roman authorities by Judas. Arrested and tried, he was condemned to death as a political agitator and was crucified and buried. — Encyclopedia Britannica

Resurrection

After three days, the disciples went to the tomb to care for Jesus’ body, but His body was gone. He appeared before the women at his tomb, risen from the dead! Over the course of the next forty days, Jesus appeared multiple times to different groups of people.
