History of our Boston Church

To the newcomers but also those who were here since the very beginning, we wanted to give you guys a rundown on Gracepoint Boston: who we are, how we got here, and the history that you get to continue creating and being a part of!

Who: 60 covocational ministers (those who have a full-time job AND do ministry) and 31 church plant interns (what’s a CPI? Read about them here)

What: To plant a collegiate church.

When: In the summer of 2021.

Half of us landed on June 30, the other half on July 1. Before we all landed though, we had a lot of help settling and getting different apartments ready, picking up cars, etc. by our friends from our East Coast church plants (Pitt, DMV, Rutgers).

Where: Boston!

The city with more than 150,000 college students and many more recent grads or people who decided to stay in the city after graduating.

How: A shared vision to plant an Acts2 Church in every college town, fueled by a common mission to share the gospel and make disciples of all nations. Co-vocational ministers (Christians who have regular full-time jobs in the day time and ministry with the rest of their days) fuel our church plants and ministries. And we couldn’t do it without one another and this share bond of the gospel!

In college, many of us got to experience the church as a people and found covenantal bonds and commitments to one another as that source of strength to set out and do His good work together. So join us as we try to live out Christian life together and ride through the ups and downs of college life and beyond.
